Ayla Jade Taylor

"I am a volunteer intern in the Artists as Mentors
Program. Having Beth mentor me has been really fun;
I learn things that I did not learn at school, such as
when I make a mistake don’t throw the paper away
just turn the mistake into part of the art work. I learned
how to ease up on my pencil drawings.

As a studio assistant intern I learn how to prep
materials, how to get a student talking about their
artwork, what symbolism is and how to know when a
student just is having an off day.

Having Beth as a Mentor for my artwork and
internship is a fun learning experience. I have gained
so much knowledge over these many months and I
look forward to seeing where it might take me down
further in the future Beth is the Coolest and most
awesome mentor I know and have."
